Entries in Rebecca Wright's diary of her religious visit to England and Ireland provide an account of her voyage to Ireland, her recuperation in Waterford after arriving, her attendance at meetings in Ireland, her travel to Liverpool, and attendance at meetings throughout England. In several hands contemporary with Wright's, possibly including Ann Bishop's. On page 86 begins a biographical note and account of Wright's last illness by Ann Bishop, followed by journal entries, 1837-1849, of visits to various Meetings.

Rebecca Gibbs Wright was a Quaker minister from Burlington County, New Jersey. Born Rebecca Gibbs, she married Nathan Wright in 1760. In 1783 she traveled to the British Isles in the company of Patience Brayton, Martha Routh, and other ministers.
